Hi! I am Van Truong. Pronounced “Van” like the automobile with Troung like “strong” just without the “s.”

Growing up in Austin, Texas, I was raised with a myriad of culture and art. If you don’t find me editing photos, I may be at my local coffee shop enjoying a latte, or in a restaurant trying new foods.

I remember when I was younger always running around with my disposable film camera, taking photos of nonsense. I cherished every moment, and I always looked forward to going to the store to develop them. They were by no means quality, but I loved each and every one of them. They were very personal to me.

With each client, I take each shoot and make it personal, combining our ideas and creating something that is beautiful and remembered. Using black and white creates a depth of emotion that can be captured for a lifetime, but color, as you will find in my work, is something I absolutely love. Sometimes color makes all the difference.

The the moment I get to show my clients their photos for the first time is what I look forward to. I want my clients to be in awe and to fall in love with themselves when they see their images. Whether it be capturing the moment in their mesmerizing eyes, an enchanting garden, or delicate as boudoir, each photo and each shoot is as important to me as it is to them. It’s a reflection of who I am. It is personal.
